Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here YSL MANHATTAN BAG. Folks call it the “re-make” or the “original order” – sounds fancy, don’t it? But lemme tell ya, it’s just a bag, a good one mind you, but still just a bag.
I ain’t no fancy pants city woman, but I know a good bag when I see one. This YSL thing, it’s strong, ya know? Like it can hold all yer stuff – yer wallet, yer keys, maybe a snack or two for the grandkids. I’ve seen some bags, flimsy things they are, rip right open. This one, it ain’t like that. It’s sturdy, built to last, like a good pair of work boots.
Now, they got all sorts of these Manhattan Handbags, they call ’em. Big ones, small ones, some even look like little purses. They got different names too, like “shoulder bag” and “shopping bag”. Sounds confusing, if ya ask me. Why they gotta give everything a fancy name? Back in my day, a bag was a bag, plain and simple.
- YSL Manhattan Shoulder Bag: This one, it’s kinda middlin’ size. Good fer carryin’ yer everyday things. Not too big, not too small. Just right, like Goldilocks and the porridge, ya know? The fella on the TV said it’s somethin’ like 11.4 inches long, 7.8 inches high, and 2.9 inches wide. Don’t ask me what an inch is, I just know it’s a good size.
- YSL Manhattan Small Shopping Bag: This one’s a bit bigger. Good for when ya gotta haul more stuff. Maybe to the market, or when you’re visitin’ yer kin and gotta bring a casserole. They say it’s around 12.5 inches long, 9.8 inches high and 4.7 inches wide. Bigger than the first one, see?
- YSL Manhattan Medium Shopping Bag: Now this here, this is the big one. You could probably fit a whole chicken in this thing! Good for a big shopping trip, or maybe even a picnic. It’s like 15.7 inches long, 11.6 inches high, and 6.1 inches wide. That’s a lot of inches, let me tell ya.
They say this Saint Laurent fella, or YSL for short, started makin’ these bags way back in 1961. That’s a long time ago, even before my youngest was born! And they still makin’ ‘em, so they must be doin’ somethin’ right. People seem to like ‘em, all these city folk with their fancy clothes and fancy bags.
I heard tell ya can buy these bags online, at somethin’ called or . They ship ‘em right to yer door, free they say, for a little while anyways. And if ya don’t like it, ya can send it back. They even wrap it up all pretty, like a present. Sounds convenient, but I still like goin’ to the store myself, seein’ things with my own eyes.
They also got somethin’ they call “authentication service” and “customer support.” Sounds like a lot of hooey to me. Back in my day, ya just bought somethin’ and that was it. If it broke, ya fixed it yerself. But I guess things are different now. Folks want guarantees and fancy talk.
So, this YSL MANHATTAN BAG. Is it worth all the fuss? Well, it’s a good bag, strong and sturdy. It’ll hold yer stuff and it looks nice, I reckon. If ya got the money and ya want a fancy bag, then go for it. But me? I’ll stick with my old canvas tote. It’s been with me for years, and it ain’t let me down yet. But hey, to each their own, right?
