Like that old leather chair Pa used to have, the one that lasted longer than any of us expected. This Saffiano is probably just as durable.

They call it “color-block.” Like them quilt squares my mama used to sew together. Red and brown, mostly. Reminds me of that old barn down the road, the one with the rusty roof and the weathered wood. Inside, it’s all lined with somethin’ soft. Leather, they say. Good leather, not that cheap stuff. It’s probably got pockets and zippers and all sorts of places to put your things. Keeps everything nice and tidy, I suppose. Not like my old purse, which is just a jumbled mess most of the time! I heard some people say it is a fake one if it is not leather or ceramic inside. They say it should be real Prada. Whatever, as long as it works.
This here bag, it’s a Prada. That’s a fancy name. Like them fancy cars you see on the TV. Means it’s made good, I reckon. Made to last. They say this Prada Galleria Saffiano gets “redefined and recreated” every so often. Means they change it up, make it new again. Like when you paint an old house a different color. It’s still the same house, just with a fresh look. I also saw this Prada Re-Edition 2000 Hobo Mini on the internet. It is much cheaper. Maybe I should get one of that kind. I don’t need a very expensive bag.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ I need this bag. Lord knows I got enough bags already. But it sure is purty to look at. And it’s fun to think about all the fancy places you could take it. To the city, maybe. Or to one of them fancy restaurants where they serve you them little bitty portions of food. I heard that lots of people are searching for it on the internet. Must be really popular.

Somethin’ you don’t see every day, ‘specially not around here. I heard that it is out of stock now. Maybe that’s why people are searching for it everywhere. So many people want it, but they just can not get it.
If you got the money, and you want somethin’ real nice, well, this might be the bag for you. It is expensive, but it is special. Special Edition, remember? As long as you can afford it. Do not spend all your money on a bag. That’s just silly. But if you want it, you can go to them Specialty Stores, maybe they still have some left.
Me? I’ll just stick with my old bag. It ain’t fancy, but it does the job. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it? But a gal can dream, can’t she? A gal can dream.
