Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer for a while now. It’s got this whole space vibe, you know? Made with some help from the European Space Agency, it’s like they’re getting ready for us to go to Mars or something. Anyway, I finally decided to go for it.
I started by looking around online, checking out different places that sell watches. Saw a bunch of listings, some on those big online marketplaces, others on dedicated watch seller websites. Prices were all over the place, mostly around $5,900 to $7,000, which, I gotta say, is a lot of money. You could probably buy a ton of other stuff with that kind of cash. But, I was pretty set on this particular watch, so I kept digging.
I found a few that were “pre-owned,” meaning someone else had them before. One of them was listed as “Dated: 2023” so it is pretty new, I guess. It came with both a titanium bracelet and a NATO strap, which is cool. I noticed some were offering free shipping within the US, which is a nice bonus.
Making the Decision
After comparing a bunch of these listings, I found one that seemed like a good deal. It was from a place called Exquisite Timepieces, never heard of them before, but the price was right. Plus, they had some information about the reference number (318.90.45.79.01.003) and all that technical stuff, which made me feel a bit more confident about buying from them. It’s a lot of money after all.
I went ahead and placed the order. Now, I’m just waiting for it to arrive. The whole process was a bit of a rollercoaster, to be honest. From drooling over the pictures online to actually clicking that “buy” button, it’s been a journey. This Marstimer, with all its buttons and numbers, is definitely a fancy piece. And the fact that it comes in a special box just adds to the whole experience.
Will I have buyer’s remorse?
- Probably not, since I already saved up for it.
