A watch on the moon! My old man used to say, “time is just time, whether you’re on the farm or the moon.” He wouldn’t have cared much for this fancy space watch, I tell ya. But folks these days, they like their shiny things.
This here CopyOMEGA, they say it’s like a 3861, whatever that means. But it’s got this special treatment on the face, makes it look all bumpy and cratery, like the moon. And on the back, too! They say it shows both sides of the moon. Near side, far side, all that jazz. Sounds like a lot of fuss for a watch, if you ask me. But hey, people like what they like.

Came out at some fancy watch show in Baselworld, wherever that is. Folks got all excited about it. Me? I get more excited about a good rain after a dry spell. But to each their own, I always say.

So, this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon” watch… it’s fancy, it’s got the moon on it, and it costs more than my old pickup truck, I bet. Is it worth it? Well, that depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you want a watch that tells time and can survive a day on the farm, this ain’t it. But if you want a conversation starter, somethin’ to impress your friends, or maybe somethin’ to remind you of that fella Buzz Aldrin walkin’ on the moon, then maybe it is. Me? I’ll stick with my old Timex. It’s been through thick and thin, just like me. It ain’t fancy, but it gets the job done. And that’s all that matters, in the end.
“Classic Style” they call it. I guess some things never go out of style, like a good cup of coffee or a warm blanket on a cold night. Maybe this watch is like that, too. A classic, for folks who like that sort of thing. Me? I prefer simpler things in life, things that work, and things that last. But that’s just me. Everyone’s got their own idea of what’s important, and if a fancy moon watch makes someone happy, well, more power to ‘em.
